Kaya: "Mom. YOU are a genius!"
Me: "Yes! I've been TRYING to tell you that!"
August 10 ... "This is what you call a cross-curricular activity. Lifting weights while studying geography. (Note the interesting placement of the globe in the background.)"
August 13 ... "I can't get enough of this nasty stuff!" (I know this isn't about my girls, but I think everyone should watch this. Warning: The video shows the totally awesome and disgusting removal of bot flies.)
August 18 ... "'You look the same as you did in high school! Are you sure you're getting older?' ... The BEST Facebook message ever." ... (Yeah, that's not about my girls either. But I had to sneak it in there anyway because it was such a nice compliment.)
August 24 ... "During a money-math lesson today, Kaya was counting coins and lining them up on her arm instead of on the page we were working on. She said, 'Look, I'm armed with coins. Get it?' ... She is so clever!"
August 26 ... "We are currently studying Ancient Greece. So the girls are in the playroom building with blocks, creating cities, and pretending their little people are Spartans and Athenians."
I promise to start blogging about my children again. I may even upload some new photos.
